This Privacy Policy applies to 口袋离线翻译 / Local Translate. The app is designed around on-device processing: your conversation, text, and photo translation content does not need to be uploaded to developer servers.
Data we collect
We do not require an account, and we do not upload your voice recordings, typed text, photos, recognized photo text, or translation results to developer servers.
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, issue description, screenshots, or attachments you choose to send. We use that information only to handle your support request.
Permissions
- Microphone: Used to record speech that you actively submit for voice translation.
- Speech recognition: Used to help transcribe speech on device and improve translation accuracy.
- Camera: Used to capture photos that you want to translate.
- Photos: Used to select images from your library for text recognition and translation.
- Network: Used for first-time offline model and system resource downloads, App Store purchase services, purchase restoration, or system service responses.
On-device storage
The app may store offline model files, operational caches, temporary audio files, or temporary photo processing results on your device. These files are used to provide translation features and are not actively uploaded by us to developer servers. Deleting the app usually removes this on-device data.
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card number or full payment details. Apple may process purchase, refund, subscription status, and related diagnostic information according to its own privacy policy.
Third-party tracking and advertising
The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you for advertising purposes. Apple may process crash reports, diagnostics, and purchase-related information according to your system settings.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we received information through a support email that should not be kept, please contact us and we will delete it.
